Jewellery Design/Manufacturing
To achieve our goal of making every client feel at home, it is critical for the client to be involved in the manufacturing process of their jewellery, where the designer and goldsmith understand and experience what the client is thinking and what their expectations are. To create this environment our well equipped workshop and highly qualified, skilled goldsmiths work on the premises.
Going through these stages, the client also has the assurance that every piece is not just according to his/her specifications, but the quality is of the highest standard possible.
Having a jewellery piece manufactured at Gertha Resca Designer Jewellers by way of CAD design or hand design, manufactured by hand on our state of the art German technology printing/casting machines - becomes a wonderful and unforgettable journey.
Our Design Process
By giving the client the opportunity to be part of the design process we ensure that the client gets exactly what he/she had in mind.
- The client selects an ideal centre diamond/gemstone for the ring of select gemstones for the unique jewellery piece they have in mind
- The client liaises with us indicating the design they have in mind or supply us with a picture of the design they like
- Our design team will do a design proof with a drawing, if needed, for approval
- We can do a wax printed model of the jewellery piece for our clients to view and to try on before the casting of the jewellery piece
- The ring/jewellery piece is then manufactured according to the design
International Clients
The state of the art technology it is possible to start the designing of a jewellery piece online. When the client arrives in South Africa we can just confirm the choice of diamond and complete the manufacturing process.
CAD Design
Whilst traditional design and manufacture methods, we believe, create a vastly superior result, we also realise that a small percentage of our customers prefer CAD (Computer Aided Design) jewellery.
The benefits of CAD design over traditional methods are:
- Usually less expensive, especially for very complex or time consuming pieces
- Some designs can only, or are more suited to CAD
- You can see the wax model and try it on before final casting
- You can easily change the design during the design process without re-drawing
